Help create a welcoming and vibrant outdoor space for the participants and staff of COED! COED Belleville promotes independence and inclusion for adults with disabilities and is looking for two volunteers to complete some yard work and beautification projects!

Across the parking lot, help create an outdoor space for our staff and volunteers who support individuals in crisis. Victim Services HPELA is looking for a team to assemble a picnic table kit where staff can take their breaks, eat lunch outside, recharge, and connect during the summer months.

This project supports the wellbeing of those doing important, often challenging work in our community.

• Raking the grass
• Transforming “muddy” areas by seeding new grass
• Planting flowers
• Assembling and building a picnic table
• Assisting with measuring, drilling, and fastening materials

• Ability to perform physical outdoor work (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)
• Comfort using basic yard tools (rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows etc.)
• Experience with power tools (e.g., weed whacker, rototiller) is an asset but not required
• Comfort with basic tools (drills, screwdrivers, measuring tape)
• Carpentry experience an asset
