Support Seniors and Adults with Disabilities with Yard Care through Community Care for Central Hastings!
Make a direct impact in someone’s day by helping maintain their outdoor space. Community Care for Central Hastings is looking for volunteers to visit clients’ homes in Madoc, Tweed, Marmora or Stirling and assist with basic yard care, lawn mowing and gardening. There are even some deck staining jobs!
Volunteers in teams of three people will be assigned to specific homes in the same town, and will help create safe, well-maintained outdoor spaces for individuals who may not be able to manage this work on their own.
** If Community Care for Central Hastings finds enough residents do not have the equipment to maintain their lawns, and some volunteers are willing to bring their lawn mower and weed whacker – we’ll send them to those properties.
