Support Seniors and Adults with Disabilities with Yard Care through Community Care for Central Hastings

Make a direct impact in someone’s day by helping maintain their outdoor space. Community Care for Central Hastings is looking for volunteers to visit clients’ homes and assist with basic yard care, lawn mowing and gardening.

Volunteers will be assigned to specific homes and will help create safe, well-maintained outdoor spaces for individuals who may not be able to manage this work on their own.

• Lawn mowing
• Raking and general yard clean-up
• Light gardening (weeding, planting, tidying garden beds)

• Ability to perform physical outdoor work
• Comfort using basic yard equipment (lawn mower, rake, gardening tools)
• Considerate when working on private residential properties
