Help strengthen and restore Community Development Council of Quinte community garden spaces used by local residents and participants at two Belleville locations. The United Way Office (55 Harriet Street) and Parkdale Baptist Church (514 Sidney Street). Volunteers start at the United Way location and will assist with rebuilding and reinforcing raised garden beds to ensure they are safe, stable, and ready for the growing season.

Volunteers will help create durable and functional growing spaces that support community gardening and food security initiatives.

  • Dismantling damaged raised garden beds
  • Rebuilding beds in their current locations (55 Harriet Street – UW Office and 514 Sidney Street – Parkdale Baptist Church)
  • Reinforcing salvageable garden bed boards and supports
  • Constructing one new raised garden bed at the United Way Office
  • Work carefully around existing planted areas at the Parkdale site

  • Comfortable with moderate physical labor and lifting
  • Basic carpentry or DIY experience
