Help transform outdoor spaces at the Youth Centre by creating new garden beds around the exterior of the youth centre that will brighten the environment for youth and staff. This project will enhance the outdoor environment and create a more welcoming space for youth programs.

Additionally, build a wooden enclosed box for garbage and recycling bins. This project will create a cleaner, more organized area while helping prevent animals from accessing the waste and recycling.

Four positions for garden creation and 2 positions for building the wooden box.

• Removing grass and preparing new garden bed areas
• Digging and shaping garden beds
• Creating clean edges for a finished look
• Planting flowers and refreshing outdoor spaces
• Constructing a wooden enclosure for garbage and recycling bins
• Measure and assembling framing materials
• Install a lid on the bin with latches for easy access

• Comfort using basic yard and garden tools
• Garden experience is helpful
• Ability to measure and cut lumber accurately
• Working with basic carpentry tools
