This project directly supports youth by creating a space where they can access essentials with dignity and choice.

Additionally, after receiving a generous donation from the RBC Foundation the youth centre has paint to spruce up the space! Volunteers will assist with painting throughout the centre to refresh spaces used daily for programs, connection, and support.

This project helps ensure youth have access to a space that feels cared for, safe, and inviting.

• Clearing and reorganizing the downstairs storage room
• Deep cleaning and preparing the space
• Moving clothing racks and building shelves for the newly cleaned room
• Move our clothing, shoes, accessories, personal hygiene products and shelf stable food onto racks and shelves
• Painting walls and trim throughout the youth centre
• Assisting with light prep work (taping, moving furniture, covering surfaces)
• Potentially painting select furniture

• Ability to perform moderate physical work (lifting, carrying, bending, stairs)
• Comfortable with cleaning, organizing, and setup tasks
• Ability to use basic painting tools (rollers, brushes)
• Attention to detail for clean, even coverage
• Painting experience is helpful, but not required
